Apna Time Aayega ! Female Version

 Wow.. Since the launch of the trailer, the anthem "Apna Time Aayega" from Gully boy has caught on like a rage. Even I can't stop humming it myself. Forget the rap part , only the "Apna Time Aayega" is where my focus is. Sounds so positive and uplifting. Can't discredit the hunky Ranveer Singh and his boisterous presence on screen which lends the song all the more credibility. Well Ranveer and his growth as an actor deserves a separate blog altogether 😃     
     Coming to the point.. Rather the anthem "Apna Time Aayega", it made me feel like a queen, someone who can do anything and everything. We as women always have prejudices that we can't do this or that or that it's not my cup of tea, some notions inherent and some fed by the society and people along the way. There's always a list we have to adhere to as a girl whilst growing up and an even bigger list of things that we cannot even dare to do. Think about it, how many times have we been encouraged on getting great grades that you need to be an engineer or a doctor or even a scientist. Never, all we hear is.. Wow she's smart she will definitely land up a good guy and will have intelligent kids. Why aren't we allowed to go our way in life and do things we want to do? If u think this happened before, it's a mighty misconception you have. Girls today can't even choose their specialisation field or for that matter even their own life partner. If someone dares, they are mercilessly killed or subjected to an inhumane torture and made an exhibit for other girls to remember their place.  
     As a girl , I was lucky enough to be raised by amazing parents and was always given the choice to do what was my calling. I wish this Opportunity every girl child receives. I want us to be who we want to be and do what pleases us and is our inner calling. I wish the cliche stops and people, men in particular realize that the mother, sister, girlfriend, wife whom they idolise and want, are being killed right at birth or in the name of honour killings. 
     Let's hope and pray for a Happy 2019, where Women can all happily sing and raise a toast to "Apna Time Aagaya". 
     Wishing to see the miracle soon. Here's to Positivity and Hope in 2019.
